Rhinebeck Equine has the largest equine referral hospital and ambulatory service in the Hudson Valley with board-certified specialists in surgery, internal medicine, theriogenology, and ophthalmology. Our 27-stall facility and ambulatory services provide routine, emergency, and specialty coverage for a wide range of breeds and disciplines in the beautiful Hudson River Valley about 2 hours north of NYC.

Position Overview:
As a veterinary assistant, your responsibilities include but are not limited to; restraining patients, preparing supplies needed for each call, helping to write the farm sheets, restocking supplies in the truck, rotating inventory in the truck, assisting in taking radiographs, scrubbing for procedures, billing for farm visits, and driving the vet truck. We cross-train our staff and work as a team, allowing you to learn and work in other areas of our hospital.
Ideal Candidate:
Excellent equine handling skills and computer skills are vital to this role.
A Valid driver's license is essential.
Previous experience as a veterinary assistant in an equine setting is a plus.
This is a full-time, permanent position with very competitive compensation and full, top-tier benefits. A flexible schedule is required.
