Rhinebeck Equine is looking to hire an extra LVT.
*Patient & Hospital Responsibilities include:*
*Providing treatments for hospitalized patients, including, but not limited
to, preparing and administering medications, performing physical exams,
running fluids, and assisting with diagnostics.
*Care for patients, including, but not limited to, grooming, feeding,
mucking out, cleaning feed & water buckets, and turning out
*Recording treatments and observations in medical records and reporting any
abnormalities to the intern veterinarian on the case
*Cleaning stalls including isolation
*Disinfect & sweep aisle way
* Run in-house labs
*Assist with emergency admissions
*Catheter placement
*Assisting when needed in surgery
*Performing bone scans

*Skills and Qualifications include:*
*An outstanding team attitude and strong work ethic
*Positive customer service attitude
*All applicants MUST have Excellent horse-horse handling skills (including
handling of fractious horses) so please be sure to list your hands on horse
experience on your resume
* Veterinary technician license (LVT) is a MUST.
*Good time management and multitasking skills
*Ability to work independently
*Capable of handling patient emergency situations

**This job is physically demanding and requires candidates that are able
to frequently lift over 50 to 75 pounds and stand for long periods of time.

This is a Thursday - Saturday (+/- Wednesday)  position from 7 am - 7 pm.

*Veterinary Assistant:*
Assisting the surgeons on the road with lameness exams, radiographic and
ultrasonic images, prepping for joint injections, taking notes, invoicing
and helping with minor surgical procedures. Helping where needed in the
Hospital when not on the road. This may also include periodically helping
in surgery and filling in for other ambulatory assistants out on the road.
Minimum of 36 hours a week. During busy season it can potentially go to 40+
hours a week. This is a Monday-Thursday (+/- Friday) position from about 9
am-5 pm (sometimes later than 5)

*Barn Assistant:*
Rhinebeck Equine is hiring a full-time barn assistant, Monday thru Friday.
This person should be comfortable working around horses and able to lift at
least 50 pounds. If interested email your resume to

Duties include but not limited to:
Cleaning Stalls/Induction/Recovery/Stocks
Cleaning aisle way
Grooming horses
Holding horses for procedures/treatments
General cleaning and restocking
